Directly after the cessation of the Second World War the public began to consider that the world’s core principles are simple and coherent . Both global politics and social relations were counting on the thoughts of gain , positive change , faith in science , understanding , technological innovations , and the knowledge of how to explain any activity from a analytical point of view . However , starting from the second half of the 60’s, the world commenced to degrade and currently , 40 years after , we live in a new kind of actuality .

They have noted issues in the mundane of our lives and have opened a set of problems, which were going on without being noticed . They have assisted us to think of the new issues , and have given us new aspirations .
These were the authors who have shaped the minds of the entire generation, which has taken the blow of drastic change; change, which was seen as chaos at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have attracted our attention to the most tormenting issues of the last century; those dilemmas , which the humankind , having lived through the world wars and wild number of deaths, was afraid to face . In the end they were voicing the the most topical question “What will happen in the future”?
In this paper we will name some of the most famous writers of the last century. They have all quite influenced literature of their period, have manifested trends and difficulties which were typical to their society and the period they existed in, and have made the audience think about the running system of values, having them realize that it is far away from being perfect. One of the most interesting feature of their writing is that in mostly they have risen the person’s interest in books and written matter. from this angle one of the most exciting success stories is that of a well known author Anne Bronte .
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be named phenomenal as she has found herself to be the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by writing fairytales. She is today spending a huge part of her earnings on charity, fighting poverty and illness. The idea of the book was found while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to bring out her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a friendly piece of advice — to find a stable job. He was doubtful of the idea that the young author would be able to make a living off of writing books. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having produced a series of unparalleled fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading people get back to reading books.
This article is not able to enumerate and more or less accurately list all authors who have offered their contribution to the today’s literature. They have been writing and bringing ideas exactly into the thoughts of the millions, and in this way were shaping the future. Thus, as we can see, these authors were not writing for enjoyment only, but they were also playing a considerable role in creating the culture and the perception of a society of the 20th century.
